Art of the Chopper - Tom Zimberoff

Matthews Studio Equimpent was honored when legendary San Francisco based photographer Tom Zimberoff approached us to help him assemble a location package of grip equipment for an upcoming nationwide project of photographing the exotic world of CHOPPERS and the artists who create them.

We outfitted Tom with a wide variety of Matthews products including four High Rollers which supported his basic lighting set up of a very large Chimera light bank.

Tom loaded his trailer here in Burbank and began his odyssey which took almost one year on the road visiting many cities and CHOPPER creators. The resulting book THE ART OF THE CHOPPER has been a best seller and Tom is now actively working on Volume II.

Tom has graciously offered to share some of his images with Matthews and our website viewers of both the finished images and production images demonstrating how he achieved these remarkable photos.
